DTA Executive Committee would like to thank everyone for their participation
to make the 2013 Sankranthi Celebrations a grand success. The venue was full of energy
and spirit of unity with more than 500 Telugu Families that have graced the
occasion and made the event a huge success. More than 140 local talents of all
ages participated and performed on the juncture of the colorful evening. The
variety of programs included dances, skits, and songs in both Classical and
Filmy categories. The event not only commemorated the harvest festival of
Sankranthi but also Indian Republic Day. President Raghu Ravipati introduced his
2013 executive committee team to the audience and announced that for the first
time in DTA history more than 40 youth members came forward to volunteer for the
prestigious organization.
DTA Executive committee received lot of encouraging and affirmative feedback from the attendees about
the variety and quality of the programs and the importance of these events for
keeping Indian and Telugu tradition and culture alive for next generations.
Twenty five variety programs were part of the five and half hours long event.
The evening was concluded with vote of thanks by the President Raghu Ravipati
thanking all the artists, sponsors, and volunteers who worked hard for the
success of the event and ended with Indian National Anthem.
